My name is Matt Hritz and I graduated from Gem City College in 1990 with a diploma in watchmaking. After working six years as a watchmaker I decided to further my education and attended school in Neuchatel Switzerland. After graduating first in my class I went back to my old company for another four years where I had been working on vintage mechanical wrist watches almost exclusively. In 2001 I opened my own retail watch store, which I still operate today.

I  love what I do. I enjoy selling new watches and repairing old ones. With both there are always  oportunities to enlighten customers about something that gets so much use but generally not a lot of thought after the sale. Maintenance and repairs are not usually high on the priority list for most watch owners but making sure they have the right information can save them so much frustration-and money in the long run.
